Tales of life, motherhood, work, autism and beyond. Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Last Friday we had a very unfortunate incident involving our 9 year old son with autism. Lucky for us he was found safe and sound. The police officer involved was very kind, and calm and did write up a report. Sunday, May 3, 2009. This district was created on August 18, 2006 by bifurcating the erstwhile Andaman district. Four Andamanese indigenous peoples, namely, Onges, Jarawas, Great Andamanese and Sentinalese live in this district. The district comprises of 3 tehsils, Port Blair, Ferrargunj and Little Andaman. North Andaman experiences fairly frequent large earthquakes and suffered inundation from the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake tsunami.
